Pro Coach Cricket Academy was founded in early 2006 by Chris Taylor (Yorkshire CCC) and Andrew Gale (Yorkshire CCC). The ambition was to provide unrivalled expert cricket coaching by current Test and County cricketers for juniors learning the game across the UK. In just two years Pro Coach Cricket Academy boasts a great reputation across the North and Midlands as the leading cricket coaching service. Over 500 young cricketers have benefited from the first class coaching with many going on to represent their District, League side or County. The Pro Coach Cricket Academy Philosophy.

In 2006 Chris and Andrew both decided there was a lack of quality cricket coaching for young cricketers who failed to make their Junior County side. They both believe that too many young, talented cricketers are given no opportunity to improve their game following representative side rejection. There are thousands of children out there who need a stepping stone back into the game, to boost their confidence and improve their technique. Pro Coach Cricket Academy has, and continues to, provide this for young cricketers.

Pro Coach Cricket Academy has a structured cricket coaching set up whether your child is a beginner or has ambitions to become a Professional Cricketer. The structure begins with One off Day courses for all young cricketers, advances to the Premier Academy, an academy for confident Club cricketers, and finally offers the Elite Academy, an academy for children with ambitions to go much further in the game of cricket:-

Elite Academy.

The Pro Coach Cricket Academy ‘Elite Academy’ is the ultimate in junior cricket coaching. The Academy runs for ten consecutive weeks and includes well over 20 hours of expert cricket coaching. All the cricket coaching is run by current Professional Cricketers. England Test players will also attend some sessions with masterclasses for the children. Video analysis is readily available and the young cricketers also receive one to one coaching as part of the academy. Pro Coach Cricket Academy also use the revolutionary new ‘Play in the V’ cricket bats with the young cricketers to enhance their batting skills. All Elite Academy attendees receive Pro Coach Cricket Academy kit, and they will also play as a team in the annual Pro Coach indoor tournament at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, a tournament which includes 4 different County teams. Premier Academy.

The Pro Coach Cricket Academy ‘Premier Academy’ is a great way for young cricketers to improve their skills, techniques and confidence. The Premier Academy runs for either six or ten consecutive weeks and includes between 10 and 15 hours expert cricket coaching. All the cricket coaching is run by current Professional Cricketers with other level 3 coaches and County Junior team managers helping aswell. Video analysis is available at one of the sessions and the young cricketers will do extensive work with the revolutionary new ‘Play in the V’ cricket bats. The Premier Academies will all take place at excellent venues with top class facilities. There are currently 6 Premier Academies in Yorkshire, 3 in Lancashire and a Derby Premier Academy.
