Londesborough Park CC (LPCC) was originally founded in the 1800’s by the Duke of Devonshire, but in more recent times the pavilion was built in 1998 and further extended in 2007 and now provides excellent facilities for all those that visit. In 2005 LPCC was one of the first clubs in Yorkshire to attain Clubmark Accreditation. LPCC currently has 57 junior members in teams ranging from the Under 9’s to Under 15’s with many more youngsters attending our regular Friday night coaching sessions. This year has seen some great achievements across all the age groups.
They have Toby Williamson playing for East Yorkshire Under 12’s and he has also been selected to play 2 matches for the Yorkshire Development team. Tom Dicconson also from the Under 12’s has had a great season with East Yorkshire.
Oliver Rook is enjoying his 2nd year with Yorkshire, this year in the Under 11’s A team and also with the East Yorkshire district squad. He’s closely followed by his younger brother Thomas Rook playing for the East Yorkshire Under 9’s, and also his team mate Cameron Hodson has enjoyed his first East Yorkshire Under 9’s match. Harvey Laverack is currently playing for the East Yorkshire Under 10’s and is certainly an asset to the club.
All these children are a credit to the club and proof that with practice great things can be achieved. However the practice wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated qualified coaches and an army of volunteers at the club, in particular Malcolm Milne, Sam Dodd, John Williamson, Charles Rook and Ian Hodson have given their time and coaching to many children over the years.
We look forward to hosting one of our Summer Camps at LPCC on 14-16th August, which has always been a great success and an enjoyable event for all involved. Click here for booking and full information on the camp!
