Pro Coach Cricket Academy will be coming to Sussex for the first time in 2009, starting with our highly anticipated 20/20 Skills Academy in the summer. Sussex will also be staging our flagship "Elite Academy" as well as a number of our hugely popular Premier Academies. Led by Regional Managers and Star Cricketers - Fast Bowler David Griffiths and Opening Batsmen Jimmy Adams, Pro Coach is looking to offer the highest possible standard of cricket coaching being largely provided by current and ex Sussex and Hampshire cricketers, supported by highly qualified county coaches and players from around the world.

Elite Academy

Based at Falmer Sports Centre at the Universiy or Sussex, Pro Coach will be running a Sussex Elite Academy for both under 12s and under 16s, exclusively using current and ex-professional cricketers as well as international players, our Elite Coaching Academy offers the highest quality of coaching available. This ten week course is designed to mirror the training techniques and plans of professional players, including use of the latest in modern technology including individual video analysis. Our Elite Coaching Academy is primarily aimed at talented youngsters with either junior county or representative squad/shadow squad experience, however talented young club players will also be considered for our courses.

• 10 x 2 hour sessions of Elite coaching by current and ex Sussex, Hampshire and England cricketers
• Coaching structured to mirror the drills used by current County teams
• Pro Coach Cricket Academy training kit
• Free Entry to the National Pro Coach Indoor Tournament at Headingley Cricket Stadium
• Video analysis and written report to every individual

Premier Academy

Our most popular coaching course running at a number of bases around Sussex including Eastbourne and Horsham, our Premier Coaching Academies cater for young cricketers of all abilities from players new to the game to experienced juniors. With coaching from Sussex and Hampshire cricketers as well as highly qualified county junior and club coaches young cricketers will have to oportunity to develop their skills in the winter months to have them ready for the upcoming season.

• 10 x one and a half hour sessions of coaching by current Sussex and Hamphire Professional cricketers and leading County junior coaches
• The coaching is based on skill specific drills, nets and gameplay
• Opportunity to receive video analysis in a net situation

20/20 Summer Academy

Our new 20/20 Summer Academies are our exciting new way for young cricketers around Sussex to develop their attacking instincts, by learning to hit the ball over the top, reverse sweep, bowl slower balls, yorkers as well as learning the correct way to execute all the other exciting skills that are taking over the modern game.Young cricketers ages 7-16 around Sussex will receive the chance to learn these skills from Hampshires current 20/20 stars as well as highly qualified county junior and club coachesr.

• 3 days (15 hours) with opportunities to be coached by current Professional cricketers and leading junior coaches
• 20/20 coaching drills and techniques used by County 1st teams
• Fun and enjoyable Academy using innovative coaching that can be adapted to all forms of cricket
